The B1 course teaches students to speak and write clearly about a wide range of subjects. Students taking this class can expect to achieve a level of written French equivalent to French middle school level.

Sample: Jules Verne

Our students set off on a multimedia journey of discovery through the life and writings of this classic epic French writer. Videos, interviews – inclusing one with Verne's grandson – and texts. They write a biography of the man and discover three of his novels through texts, movies and drawings. Finally, using a set of drawings, they create the scenario for a new Jules Verne novel.
